The youngest chick is 5 wks old. All of the babies and Bitsy and Roscoe are sleeping out of the nestbox at night. Bitsy and Roscoe have fed the babies when they are out of the nestbox but will also go inside to feed them. The babies are eating some on their own, especially the oldest 2. Can I take the nestbox done or should I leave it up longer?

You can take it down. The babies don't need it any more, and its presence is an invitation to have another clutch.

Good I will take it down. Not ready for another clutch right now. Have done well with these chicks for the first time breeding and have enjoyed it but summer can get busy. Roscoe is starting to get protective of the nestbox so ....I hope I am not too late.
Another question--how long will it take for Bitsy and Roscoe to wean them?

8 to 10 weeks is considered to be the average weaning age.
