After a week of non-stop mating and HUGE egg poops, Marshmallow laid her first egg! I'm so glad the egg is hard shelled!

Who has she been mating with? Not her daddy I hope. Are you going to let the eggs hatch?

She mated with Bio, not her dad. The egg is perfectly shaped. I am thinking of letting it hatch but I'm not sure yet. If anything Georgie is very expirenced with chicks and he is also hormonal

Marshmallow refused to use the bathroom in her cage vecause she is using it for her nest so I had to constantly take her out so that she can make her egg poops. This is what it looked like after 2 days Image
Remember, she mostly pooped on the floor before I had time to put her over the garbage back so there was MUCH more poop

It's not good for her to hold it in for two whole days, so try to take her out more often than that.

How are things going at the new school - do you have more time to deal with breeding issues now?

Oh dear, that's not what I meant lol. I meant to say was that this was what she pooped in total for the past 2 days. It's just all of her egg poops in total. She didn't poop all that at once.

Public School is GREAT!! I come home at 2:30 everyday and I have so much time to do my homework! I like it much better!

Good, I'm glad you're liking your life better now lol. It still takes up a fair chunk of your time and raising babies would be easier in the summertime, but it wouldn't be completely impossible to do it now if you needed to. Has anyone started sitting on the eggs yet?

Shodu once started laying eggs when I was out of town and someone else was watching the birds. They were in an aviary not their regular cage and they didn't have a nestbox, but I think Buster actually did hold it in for a couple of days. He dropped an exceptionally huge bomb after I came back and let them out.

They are both sitting on their eggs now. I put in a nest box and they already went in. I have a video if you'd like me to post?
