WE HAVE AN EGG!!!!!! Roscoe has been sitting on it all morning and has not come out of the box. Bitsy has been eating calcium so I know we will have at least one more. Her first clutch was 3 chicks. Now I can settle down too. LOL

We have egg #2. Bitsy and Roscoe are trading off sitting on the eggs. They were such good parents last time. Here's hoping we will have smooth sailing.

Good parents usually stay good so they'll probably be fine. I hope you have a great time!

We have egg #3. I haven't seen Bitsy eating any calcium this am so I would guess that she will not lay another egg. 3 is the size of her first clutch.

We have egg #4. Bitsy was eating calcium yesterday so I suspected she was going to lay another. When Bitsy came out of the nestbox this morning, she expelled a gigantic poop. My grandaughter was there and we started laughing because you could hear it come out. I guess she saved it all night. OMG

You have to be careful where those mommy poops land lol. Shodu has a talent for hanging on until she can get her back end over the carpet and then cut loose. I try to hold my hand under her and catch it. It's disgusting, but washing my hand is easier than trying to clean the carpet.

That is so true. Last weekend she got me on the back of my shirt, which I did not realize. Niki, the mother of my son Bruce's kids, had come to visit, gave me a hug and got a handful. LOL Still better than the carpet!!!

My birds also seem like to poop off the edge of the cage. I have taken to putting newspaper around it when I let them out. It's a pain, but better than cleaning the laminate floor.
