There was a broken egg on the bottom of the flight cage this morning. So, this is the start of a new round with Emma.
What hasn't worked:
14 hour nights Removing Piper Not covering the bottom of the cage with paper rearranging the cage
Any new ideas?

Have you tried limiting her food a bit? I heard that when food isn't plentiful, they have a lesser desire to breed. I may be wrong though.

Try 24 hour light for a couple of days. You can also try giving her a bowl and let her nest on it until she gives up on her eggs. You can also give her a Luprin shot from the vets for her hormones. I'm sorry you feel stuck again.

Like Baruch said - try using 24 hour lighting. The usual recommendation seems to be to use it for at least 3 days. This article on a vet website says 3 to 7 days: http://www.wbeph.com/birds/excessive-eg ... -in-birds/ They also say it's stressful, so I'd go for the minimum if possible.

Oh man, no advice but I just wanted to offer my sympathies. Come ON, Emma, get with the program, girl! I hope you find something that works.

Good news. This cycle there was an egg on Jan 9th, one on Jan 11th, and that was it. No more sitting on the bottom of the cage with her tail up the side. I'm happy!
