Sorry to hear about your burglary: some bad people around....
Glad you animals were unharmed... a terrible thing to get over...

The photo of the baby bird is stunning....

I don't keep my own chicks any more so they'll all be going. I found out the hard way that cockatiels prefer incest lol, and the easiest way to avoid it is to not keep closely related birds. I had to keep Teela apart from Squeebis (her brother) for weeks in order for her to have babies with Azazel without the risk of incest babies, and it made Squeebis crazy. Now that all the chicks have fledged everybody is back in the bird room, and I've been calling him Dweebis because he tries to interfere when Teela feeds her babies.

I sell most of my chicks at the bird marts held by the local bird club. There's one in April, one in July and one in October. I don't have any babies in time for the April one but I share a table at the other two. I normally don't sell my babies until they are weaned, but I once sold a half-weaned baby to somebody who had handfeeding experience.

Right now 16 of this year's babies are still in the house. I sold three of the older ones at the July bird mart. Somebody's got dibs on the WF cinnamon pearl chick and they're waiting for her to wean. The other 15 haven't been claimed yet.
