There are so many species of birds unique to their regions. We each have species we see, and they're not always the same as what other people see. So I wonder...

Do you guys have a species you would love to see in it's natural habitat?

Personally, I would love to see a lot of parrot species. It would be interesting to see them interacting with each other and their surroundings. There are videos online for some species, but I would love to just go and experience it myself.

I would especially love to see cockatiel's in the wild, especially since there aren't really a lot of videos online of them.

Considering how much troublemakers mine are, it makes me wonder if they're just as busy in the wild. Of course, can't expect any of them to come to me for scritches.

I'd like to see all of them lol. I wouldn't call myself a birder, but I hang out with birders and a lot of my local volunteer activities are geared toward seeing more wild birds. So I call myself a birding groupie.

For those in the Tucson area who'd like to see more wild birds, Audubon has a lot of free birding field trips: http://tucsonaudubon.org/fieldtrips.html

I love watching birds in the wild, bit I'm no birder. When I'm walking the dog and I hear some birds singing I'm always on the look-out. Sometimes I stop briefly when I spot one.

But there's no actual species that I'm craving to see...

Any will do :bigsmile100:

I would LOVE to see a toucan, really, any kind would be amazing. Also, Umberella, Sulfur Crested and Black Palm Cockatoos are some of my favorite birds.
