It can be hard to tell the difference between an adult pearl male and an adult male who's just split to pearl, since males lose their pearls at maturity.
Pumba and Babbel: if you're getting any pearl chicks from this pair then he is either split to pearl or visual pearl. If he's visual pearl then all the babies will be pearl. If he's split, you can't tell the gender by looking at the color of the chick. They can produce both grey chicks and pearl chicks of both sexes.
Waldorf and Marina: if you're getting any pearl chicks from this pair then he is either split pearl or visual pearl. You can't get pearl boys from this pair, only pearl girls. If Waldorf is visual pearl then all the girls will be pearl. If he's split pearl you'll get some pearl girls and some non-pearl girls.
