it is because she is a pearl. pearl mutations are opposite, females are brighter. males lose the pearls with their first molt and look like normal greys. tsuka is a pearl too, same kind as dally and he lost all his pearls. but dally is definately a girl, shes laid an egg before.

Pearls can even be tricky for vets unless they really know their mutations. Someone at bird club told me their vet thought their pearl cockatiel was a male because of the yellow face, but it was an adult female.
