I saw loads flying free in Australia while I was there also budgies in the wild... truly amazing it was.... the groups looked as if they were hundreds in a flock... I use to wake in the mornings to the wild tiels in the trees singing etc. was good to wake up too.

I've never been to Australia but I've LOVE to have that experience. I'm envious lol.

When I went to Australia in 1997 I didn't know about cockatiels' existence, and very little about other birds: only thought of them as "parrots"... it's a big regret of mine. I remember walking just outside Alice Spring and seeing these incredible colourful birds in huge flocks, it was absolutely mindblowing for someone like me, used to see birds only coming in grey and brownish colours. My biggest dream is to win the lottery and move there forever, Australia is my Heaven.

That's the friendliest version I could find on archive.org. There was a later version of the page that had additional pictures, but those links are all broken boo hoo. https://web.archive.org/web/20090803142 ... tureza.htm
