Why, it's Piper's new friend, Winter. I believe it is a she and an albino.

Ah, you got the Pied Piper a girlfriend! She looks just like Mackenzie when I had her.

The majority of albinos are female so the odds are in your favor! The big question is whether Piper will lose interest in Emma now that he has a she-keet to play with.

She seems like a sweet little thing. I am happy to have her.

Pet Supplies Plus had a group of baby budgies recently arrived when I went yesterday. They were all very cute. I had trouble deciding which one I wanted.

She is beautiful! I feel so drawn when I see you guys having paired birds. The truth is I feel very intimated about the care of the babies. Is it possible to let the parents do it themselves? Also...what if I just left one egg in the nest? Would that be ok?

You don't have to let the eggs hatch if you dont want to. You can simply replace the fertile eggs with dummy eggs. It's very possibly to let the parents do the baby care by themselfs, that's how they did it on the wild. But it's hard to say that we can go through the whole breeding process without a single issue. You can let your parents hatch out one egg. It's simple. Just replace every fertile egg except for one of them. You can mark the fertile egg so you don end up getting the eggs mixed up. Having one chick is easier to care for than multiple chicks. The parents won't mind how many chicks they have. The parents will mind if there is only one egg in the nest when they laid 4-6. But they won't mind if one of those eggs will hatch out.

Having just one chick does increase the odds that they'll want to go for another clutch ASAP - they like to see a high productivity rate. But they usually want to go for another clutch anyway so it doesn't change the situation a whole lot.

Winter is so pretty! I'm guessing girl too, Cloud's cere looked exactly like that and I got her when she was quite young too. Congrats!
