Since I can't upload more than one pic at a time for whatever reason, I'm dong this over several posts.

Here's a picture of him a month or so later:

I'm interested to see just how yellow his face will get. It shouldn't be changing at all!

And another profile from today where he's a little less scruffy looking:

Yep, he is very cute male. He should look very similar to my Rio in my signature. Its always exciting when your little man is growing up.

But he shouldn't be getting more yellow! He's a pied! A light pied, but still, 100% pied, definitely not split for it. Here's a pic of him showing off his wing (which is all funked up due to a growing out clip and current molting)

I realized today though, when he got all skinny due to a sound he didn't recognize, that his face looked a lot more grey. So maybe his yellow feathers are somehow underneath the grey? I dunno.

You know, taking a closer look at that wing picture, I think that he must be messing up some of his feathers when he ventures into the budgies' cage. He broke one of his long tail feathers from playing around in it and now I think he's also banging some of his wing feathers. I hate to keep him from venturing in their cage though, because he loves to mess with their stuff... and I feel it's only fair for him to do so since they just mess with his stuff mercilessly.

Edit: I'm talking about those upper feathers on the wings... the coverts, is that what they're called? The ones in the middle of his wing, the short ones that look like they've had the tips of them clipped or something.
