I think Perry looks like he's losing his pearls, although some males have more distinct ghost pearls than others. Elvis has some pretty strong ghost pearls.

Both visual pearl males and split pearl males will have ghost pearls. So if Perry isn't actually in the process of losing his pearls, it could go either way as to whether he's visual or split. The infamous "spot gene" causes ghost pearling too so that's another possibility.
