I think I take way too many pictures of my pets, sometimes. On the bright side, Lucy's gotten used to the camera. I've actually gotten some good pictures, while the light was shining through the window. Thought I might as well show them to you.

Natural lighting is always a lot of fun to play with in photography, so I had a lot of fun with this. :D

First, some beautiful closeups.

Then there's always the one problem when playing with lighting: the awkward shadow. In this case, it's the corner of my camera.

I just love how how there was just enough light to shine on her, and keeps the background untouched, to make it look darker than it actually is.
Also, since she's getting more used to Bo (my dog), and Bo is keeping his distance, I've managed to get a pretty good picture of the two. Lucy being fabulous while Bo sits in the shadows.

For my last picture, it wasn't really a play with natural lighting. I just managed to capture a good moment of Lucy enjoying scritches. Usually, when I try to take a picture, she gets a little nervous in this position, but I finally figured out the key to a good picture: let it focus, wait for her to relax, THEN capture. :)

Let me know what you guys think. :) I'm no professional, though I do enjoy photography as a hobby. I always try and find an opportunity to try and find some really good capture moments. I'll try and take some pictures some pictures of wild birds. The quality tends to lower when the camera zooms in, so taking pictures of wild birds from a distance tends to be a bit of a challenge.

Thank you Jan. :D she's been more accepting to having pictures taken since her first shower. It's like she knows how fabulous she looks now.

Indeed Dianne, that is the fun with natural lighting. The camera itself can add some special effects, but I think natural lighting can add enough beauty to pictures.

She definitely likes the sun, Bob. :D When she's not getting all excited about the birds outside, she gets very relaxed at the window. I think it feels good on her.
