I was looking for some more hens and after deciding not to buy a Lutino lacewing hen at a local breeder I fell in love with this little birdy:

I bought her as a hen, but I'm not sure the breeder is right about the sex...

What do you think?

Glad I wasn't fooled then. The dude seemed very trustworthy.

Definitely a hen. She's beautiful! I have a cock that looks just like her only he's more mauve

Well... I'm back from a week-end in the Ardennes (Belgium / Couvin) A Friend (who'm I bought Mr Green from) tended to my birds. I came home after dark here, so haven't been able to check yet... I hope all is ok! I'm a bit stressed, but don't want to disturb the birds since it's dark.

I'm home this week, but the week after that, I'm back off to the Netherlands (my father is buying for his birthday as he does every year) @centerparcs (Porte zelande I think it is). My mother will be asked to look after the birds for me while I'm gone. I hope she feels up to it... I hate leaving the work to somebody else...

I can trust the people I leave my birds with but it always bothers me. I've only ever been to Amsterdam a few times but from what I've seen of the Netherlands I absolutely love it. People there are SO friendly and helpful. I am hoping to get over there next year for the Houten reptile show :D

I had no clue what this was so google my friend pointed me here: http://www.vhm-events.com/

There's a lot of events in Houten (or so it seems) coming up next are:

Terra-con 27 November 2016
Terraria Houten /Exoknaag 04 December 2016

But I'm guessing you mean this one: Sunday 16 off April 2017 Terraria-Houten ?
