Tillie is the only girlie of the flock.. Petey is the green, Kit is the pied, and Chris is the sky blue. I am hopefully Tillie will choose a mate from this group of handsome boys..lol They are all just over a year old now.

Gorgeous babies! Petey is sort of an electric green - is that just the camera or does he have exceptionally brilliant plumage?

I once had a bird that looked a lot like Chris. One day while I was at work she figured out how to open the cage. When I got home I hunted for an hour before I figured out that she had gone up the chimney (even though it was basically impossible) and was behind the damper. I managed to get her out but she was coal black and her companion didn't recognize her at first! I couldn't wash off much of the dirt, but the following picture was taken a few days later after a lot of it had flaked off. So if you want to know what Chris would look like after a trip up the chimney, this is it (bird on the left):

She was a dirty grey until she molted but it apparently didn't hurt her any. She lived on for another seven years after that!

Got any fun stories about your babies?

Hi Deb, your budgies are really very pretty and the coloring is intense and vibrant. Welcome to the group. My name is Sally and I have a female Meyer parrot named Daisy, a cinnamon Green Cheek Conure male named Jack, a Pacific parrotlet male named Happy, a Pacific parrotlet named Ariel and her mother named Snugie.

Wow, Sally! You've been quietly increasing the number of birds you have!

Yes I have and I may be getting one or 2 this weekend. I have to drive to Cincinnati, Ohio to get it or them. I'm sure it would be worth the trip.
