I let the little guy out after the tiels went in for the night, hoping he would fly around and get some exercise. He went right to the flight cage and stood on the front porch. I took him away on my finger a couple of times and he flew right back.
Back in his cage with Winter, I saw him gazing longingly at the flight cage.
Emma, on the other hand, seems content.
I may move the budgie cage to the dining room after I get back from Christmas. I'm not sure, though. When I had it there yesterday they were calling back and forth constantly.
While I am away for two nights I thought they would be happier if the two cages were together.

He still wants Emma. Give him some time, it may take a while for him to get over her.

Aww. Poor Piper. He needs to be with someone his own type. If they end up bonding and wanting to have chicks, will you let them have one to care for?
