A few nights ago we had the power go off. I was holding Milo at the time, and of course it scared him- I didn't want him flying or falling in the dark, so I put my hand over his back gently to keep him on me. He screamed a lot and bit a lot until my hubby found the flashlight and we got some light- and at that time I put him in his cage and he quieted down right away. However, every since then he has been biting me. Hard. He will still step up and come out to sit with me, and he will even kiss, and seems normal. But if I move to scritch his neck ( which he usually begs for ) or move towards him with my hand, he will bite.
Any thoughts? :confused1:

It sounds like he was frightened during the power outage and is kind of distrustful of your hand now. You can help get him over this by using that hand to feed him treats. Millet spray works well for this because it's long and you can adjust the distance between your hand and the bird. Hold a piece in your hand for him to nibble on, and the only time he has access to millet spray should be when you're holding it in your hand. It probably won't take very long for him to forget about the scare and go back to normal.

Thanks to both of you. It is so awful because he was never a biter. But I will try both of your suggestions and hope he gets over it.
