So I'm sitting down in the sitting room watching a Movie and Mango is on the stand and he kept looking up at the ceiling fan and tried to fly upwards but of course he couldn't.He is always trying to fly to places he cant get too and then needs to come to me for my help so when he realised he couldn't fly up to the ceiling fan he flew on top of my lap and sat there for a while looking at me.He will probably be moulting soon before breeding season and then he can fly again.Im surprised he is not very sad and depressed all the time.

It will grow back soon. Just try not to pay too much attention to it or time will feel really slow.

Most birds adjust pretty well to being clipped so that wouldn't be a reason for him to be sad and depressed. If he's living in a good home where he's treated well, he has every reason to be happy whether he's clipped or not. Do you know what his living conditions were like before you got him? He may not have had very much opportunity to fly then, and a bird that's fully flighted but kept in a cage all the time is worse off than a bird that's clipped and allowed out a lot.

Remember I got him in the Bird jungle and he was housed in a large aviary with Cockatiels. My Uncles relatives own the Bird jungle and they told me they will have baby plum heads soon though I don't think id get another bird just yet seen as I want to keep a baby tiel too. When he was flighted he was a great flyer.

Silver forgets that he can't fly that much since he was clipped. He doesn't seem depressed about it, though. He always seems happy when I come to get him up off the floor.

Even Emma will let me pick her up from the floor, but only if I put my hand palm down on the floor. Then, as I get closer to the cage, she jumps off as soon as she feels able. No lingering on my nasty hand.
