I've found a local Cockatiel breeder. She has been breeding for 8 years and we had a long talk a few days ago. She has a white faced female that's about 2 months old and she will be having new flocks this spring. She has a breeder male that talks and he talks when he is in the nest with the babies. He says "what are you doing?" She said she had a few babies that learned it from him. :)
Anyway...I'm still debating about getting a mate for Peach. Or friend. Peach is a near perfect little girl and I don't want to see her personality change. Also, if I have only the two, will the male pester her constantly?
It just seems wrong to have her all alone with no other 'tiel. She looks so lonely sometimes in her big cage.
As I wrote before, I would love to see her interacting with another bird but I don't want things to go badly for her.

If the male is anything like most of my boys, he won't pester her at all  . If he falls in love he will follow her around and sing for her, but won't "molest" her :D
If you can visit the breeder and see her birds and get to know them a bit I am sure you can choose one that's well suited. Otherwise you can get a rescue bird, being adults in most cases they will show their personality and you could more easily see if they can be a good match for your girl.
Don't worry about a change in personality! Your girl will stay exactly the same as she is now, she is already bonded with you and introducing a new bird won't change that :)

Why not get a female to keep her company?
Why a male, if you don't want to breed?

I'd like a male because I love to hear them sing and maybe even talk. :)

If that's the case, I definitely suggest an adult rescue. Not all tiel boys sing or talk. If you get an adult his keeper will be able to tell you if he is vocal. With a baby you will not know until months later.
