It seems like Tommy turned 4 months old a couple of days ago and he started wooing Cloudia, now he is trying to mate with her. Cloudia wants nothing to do with him. I can tell because he is lifting his feet in a "I want to mount you" motion. Its kinda scary how the mature so stinkin' fast!

I do hope Cloudia finds a mate. I love the rest of your flock, but she's my favorite.

And I know. Baby Poppy masturbating on his water dish just seems like yesterday. He was only 3 months old!

In my flock, kiwi (minus Loki) is the only one that doesn't have a mate. He has been getting on the baby and trying to mate with her!!!!! What should I do? BTW, he also has been feeding her.

It's OK for him to feed her but try to discourage the mating lol. If you see him making a try, just move him away from her. When I see unwanted mating behavior in my flock, I ask the male to step up and he'll actually do it!

Thanks everyone. Tommy grew bright yellow feathers in the places of that he lost during his night fright. I am not going to post any pictures of the babies until they molt in a yellow face mask. I want it to be a surprise of how he changed from the last time you saw him.

We're probably all expecting him to look like a normal grey male at that point, so it wont' be TOO much of a surprise now will it? :raspberry:

I never had a normal grey male with a yellow face mask. This will be huge for me. :D
