This morning Peach hit the window. I forgot to close the drape. It wasn't too hard, I could tell by the impact sound. No beak damage and no bleeding from the ears, thank God.The strange thing is, she left an imprint of herself that is amazingly clear. You can see her full wings, head and even her crest! My windows are not sparkling clean but they don't have a layer of dust either. Has anyone ever seen that happen?

I'm glad she isn't hurt. If you don't mind, can you please post a picture of the window? I really want to see it. Are you going to leave it?

I don't think I could get a clear picture. It's very faint. I wish I could show you though. it is amazing in detail!

It's probably her dust that left the imprint. I've had it happen several times since I rarely clip, but they haven't left a neat imprint. It was more like a powder cloud.

Wow! I've never heard a bird hitting a window and then making an imprint....that's gotta be pretty neat to see! :game:

I think if you take it at night, no flash, you might manage to catch it on film
I want to see it, please!!!

I'm glad she's OK! I get tiel prints on my windows from time to time although they're usually not that complete. Cockatiels are basically a walking powder puff and will leave an imprint on windows, mirrors, black cloth, and other contrasting surfaces

Seriously. Worried that your nose might be shiny? Rub a cockatiel on it. Problem solved.

Until you develop bird keeper's lung from the constant inhaling of tiel powder.

Or... out of baby powder? Don't fret. Slap a tiel on that thing and you're good to go! I could keep going, but I'll stop here. I don't want to get my mind all worked up on the wonderful uses for tiel powder.
