I was wondering if there is any way to make Flight feathers fall out I read sometimes the pressure of them flapping their wings pushes them out.Mango is clipped a month now and I really wish he wasn't it would be great if I could get imping done on him but I dont think the vet does that.If I changed the room temperature would he molt? It would be wonderful if you could just undo a clip.

Pulling out the clipped feathers will make new ones grow in, but this isn't recommended. The flight feathers are more deeply rooted than the other feathers on the body and it can be painful for the bird. But other than that there's not an easy way to trigger a molt.

You could try googling for information on when plumheads molt in the wild. If they usually do it in the spring, he's likely to molt naturally before too long.

Mistakes only make us stronger. Learn from it. There is no one size fits all for bird owning. You tried experimenting with clipping and didn't like the results? No problem. Just wait for it grow back again and it will be as if you never clipped him. Try to make it seem good even if it isn't. Maybe he is a little more manageable with taming because of the clip. Now you don't need it. Don't feel too bad from it. At least you made more progress than the beginning, right?

I feel as if he would probably be tame now if he was flighted that way I would know he can fly to me if he wants but because he is clipped I don't know if he would want to fly to me.Yes the clipping calmed him down a little but that would have happened anyway over a period of time.

What about gently pulling on the feathers everyday would they begin to loosen? Why do Budgies and Cockatiels tame so easily lol its not fair.Mango is a shy bird so that makes things harder.

Please do NOT pull of tug on his feathers. You are trying to take him but hurting him will only make him hate you more. Be gentle with him and he will know you're safe. Be rough with him and he'll want to be farther away from you.

Thats why I was saying if I did it gently just a little pull on it each day would it loosen like that way it wouldn't hurt him because I'm not actually pulling it.I didn't say I was doing it just asking because if it would I could try it.
