Ah, what the frick. I guess I'll try the budgies, because I want to travel around Idaho for a little bit and if I get a bigger parrot it would need more attention. A budgie flock would keep every budgie happy, therefore more independent. I love Beck and Poppy, so I want them to be happy. And I will get them a small flock if that's what they want. I suppose I will take the chance for sickness and deal with it if it happens. Pet shop budgies have a poor life, so maybe if I take in a few I can get them into a good home.

But if you want the honest truth, I've been thinking about a larger bird and I had a dream last night that I suddenly remembered: Over the course of 30 years, Beaker died, Beck died, Poppy died... I was stuck with Jaiden... for 30 years. Horrifying thought. :brick:

So, if I were to get something bigger, I could have another Jaid for 30 years or more. One Jaid is plenty.

If you had to witness him seducing his feet every night he would be yours too.

At least he's not trying to seduce YOUR feet. There are birds that do that.

Here's what I witness on a daily basis: Henry trying to seduce his mother, Squeebis successfully seducing his sister, Elvis trying to seduce his brother's wife, Azazel trying to figure out whether he'd rather seduce Teela (female) or Squeebis (male), Vlad trying to figure out how to seduce either of his mates, and Mims seducing herself because Vlad still hasn't figured it out. A bird who's in love with his own feet would fit right in.

Well, Sam would fit in then.
I even let him try to have a go at it in the hope it will teach him to have sex with a girl

Cockatiel romance is a very complicated business lol. I get the impression that everybody who has a few of them has a soap opera playing out in their house.

I'll let you guys know how it goes with the budgies. I hear they have the sex drive of an Engerizer bunny.

I remember Poppy was pleasuring himself at barely 3 months old.

If there's one bird that can outperform cockatiels in the "breeding like rabbits" department, I bet it would be budgies. For starters they have about 5 times as much energy as cockatiels.

And they have a short life span. I assume that triggers an instinctual rapid breeding urge.

I noticed most animals with short life spans breed pretty easy. Budgies, goldfish, hamsters.
