do you know what I am concerned about? If I would recognize him... it's been like in my previous life, with all other birds I am dealing with so closely now. It's like they erased Chipper from my mind. When I now look at his pictures, he is like a stranger. He was a chubby bird when he was here, now she said he's skinny, and this is understood. But no doubt, I would happily take him back if it's him. If it's not him, I would prefer he would find his owner. And what you think about birds' memory? Would they remember the previous owner from more than a year ago? the place they used to live at? note that we didn't have him very long but certainly long enough to get him bonded (he is a very "human" tiel). He followed us everywhere. He was very curious. Here he learned again how to fly. but you're right - we would need to go in case it's really HIM, who knows???

Your daughter is so adorable. Birds can get skinny when they are scared. He's probably still adjusting to his new surroundings. He might have also lost some weight because he didn't eat much since he flew out.

It gets rather cold here (down to -20F sometimes) Unless, he found himself in a heated truck that transports seeds between Kansas city and my city

He might or might not remember you, but there's a good chance that he would since he was so bonded to you before. if we think the bird isn't him,,, then what do we do? I am afraid I would take him home regardless... and I already have cageful here I think, Chipper would bond to any person who feeds him and treats him kindly. It's just his personality

If it's HIM, I would bring him home and treat as a king, as he had a lot of suffering because of us allowing that he got released into the wild.

what I find strange is that I still can't find any postings that the person who found the bird was supposed to post (to facebook or craigslist). Every time I ask if she posted, the answer isn't obvious or she says she would, but I can't find anything she posted. I was thinking to go there tomorrow.

Asked her yesterday for better pictures. She said -Sure, but I still haven't got anything. Here are two pictures I got (of the bird they found). This is supposedly them driving from the park where he was found (she said she can say he's a male by behavior). I will post Chipper's pictures as well to compare.
