" I didn't want to say at first because I thought you guys would think that I'm cruel for getting another bird."
Oh, B, that sounds so much like something I would do.

There's only ever been one person here that was nasty to others, and we gave him the boot several months ago. It's safe here now!

Some smilies in honor of Kiki. They aren't new ones, they've been available here for a while:

Yay! I get new smileys.
Also, I think Kiki is a boy. No, he hasn't masturbated. The reason being is that his father is a lutino opaline and his mother is a normal. Lutino is already ruled out. He can either be an opaline (because of his father split, making her a girl). Or, he can be a normal which will make him a boy.
There's not much difference between an opaline and normal besides that opaline have their whole head in red and grey, and normals only get a red face mask and the rest of their head is green. I'm seeing some green on the top of his head which means he's heading towards a male.

Here's the difference between normal and opaline (normal is on top).

And here is my beautiful baby with his head pin feathers clearly not red.
Not sure on if they molt into their red feathers when they're 6 months. But I'm fine with either. Honestly, having a male would be more convenient.

Definitely a boy. If his father is lutino then all the girls have to be lutino, and any chick that's not lutino has to be a boy. As long as you're sure that mom didn't have a boyfriend on the side lol. And as long as the breeder has an accurate understanding of what "lutino" means. There are a lot of people in the cockatiel community who think that a pied bird is lutino because of the yellow patches, and I don't know if there's room for similar mistakes in the lovebird community.

Oh. Well that was easy. I guess Kiki won't fit after all. Are there any boy names similar to Kiki?
