Ok, maybe there is a slight ethno-cultural gap here.
I don't know about you americans, but around here, as Jan can confirm, tart is not exactly a kind word...
I think I prefer the more gentle Sodie Pop. Even Popoff at this point lol.

PS Squeebis is adorable, what's wrong with it??? not atrocious for sure

"Tart" has an alternate meaning here too. But Poptarts are a popular breakfast food, especially with children. You warm them up in the toaster and of course they pop up at the end, so that's how they got the name. Personally I think they're disgusting lol, but it's a well-recognized name and cute for a bird.

Squeebis got his name because that was the word that popped into my head every time I looked at him as a baby in the nest. He just looked like a Squeebis. He was the youngest baby in Buster and Shodu's first clutch, which was also their biggest clutch.

I love that picture! Do you give me permission to use it as my desktop background?
Is Squeebis the one on the right?

Yep Tart here doesn't have a very nice meaning..
we also have poptarts, some words here have a
different meaning to the USA meaning... and vise versa... pants here are knickers....
Pants USA trousers.... etc..
Oh I luv the different meanings from county to
country...
So what is the birds name? Ive lost track!

Sure, you can use the picture as your desktop background. It's an odd shape though so it might not fit very well. With every clutch I line them up in order of age at some point and take a picture, and Squeebis is the last chick in line. Teela is right in front of him. You have babies on the way, so in a few weeks you can do this with your own chicks and have a more personalized desktop photo.

The budgie baby's name is Poptart.

The alternate meaning of tart isn't used much here. There are other words that are much more popular to express that meaning lol.

Popcorn would be a cute name if something with no alternate meanings is wanted. But I'm still laughing about Sodie Pop. I have a weird sense of humor...

I don't care for the toaster pastry either, but that was the first thing that came to my mind. What does tart mean overseas? I've never heard of it...
