lol omg Orville, how ugly was he!!!! Yes he really looks sad, his posture is all hunched as to shield himself from the outside world, isn't it?! But I am happy to report that he is settling in his new cage a lot better than I expected: He ate an entire bowl of mixed foods, destroyed part of a wooden ladder I put in, made a lot of funny whistles when I showed him some fellow senegals on YouTube: he definitely recognises his own! The ladder was supposed to help him move around but he has other ideas about it Tomorrow I will let the cage open and see what he does. I was told that he is a very bad flier, due to his lack of exercise, so he will end up on the floor for sure... and that's when he bites We built a veeeery long mesh ladder that goes from the floor to the cage opening, and I hope he will use it to get back in the cage on his own. If he doesn't... well I will need something really thick to pick him up with but I'd rather not make him scared of me even more than he is now!

I have a lot of good news about our gargoyley King Patrick He relaxed gradually, to the point of flying on the curtain poles, and climbing out of the cage to reach the piece of cardboard I put there to tempt him out. Also he forgot his fears when the tiels went on his cage, and spent a lot of time chasing them away He kept looking at his image reflected in the metal bowl, even regurgitated on it a few times, so we thought the best thing for him was to be with a fellow Senegal. He is now in a new home where his cage is located next to another rescue boy, and hopefully they will become best friends soon. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
