Congratulations Baruch! That will be a trip to remember :)
Pearls are beautiful, first time I saw one in person I couldn't believe how striking she was. Paul said she looked freakish with all the crazy dots, lol

The closest to a pure grey I have seen is Bubu, black feet, no ticks, no markings, surely no pearl... but then his bro is a whiteface so he can't be that pure... just looks like one. Sam also seems quite straight grey, but he's so rotund he's possibly split to quail

"Pearls are beautiful,"

Yes. Silver was a pearl when I got him. However, I think he's even more lovely now.

We are probably going to have more time to go on Sunday. Susanne said that's a great day to come. I asked her if she can send me pictures of her and she said yes. I'll post the photos once I get them.

I was thinking. I know, weird event
Anyway, what I was thinking is the following: your mom has softened a lot in these last difficult months, about your birds and your attachment to them, and the whole idea of keeping and loving birds as a very worthy activity.
But the fact that she is the one who will drive you to Susanne's will probably show her new aspects of bird-keeping, like a more "scientific" approach, the organisation, etc. etc.
I don't think your mum will see cockatiels and cockatiel-keeping with the same eyes ever again.
I think this is great!

If today doesn't work for you then you can always do it some other day.

OK a bit of advise!
Get out in your aviary, play with the birds,
sing (no matter if you cant) keep busy with your
tiels... clean the aviary... you'll maybe feel a little better in your self after...

Barbara's advice may be worthwhile. Hope you feel better.
