I saw my immediate neighbor spraying weeds (I hate all sorts of chemicals and i hate when people spray weeds). Would wild birds who all day long eating something off his grass be OK? My daughter sometimes does tumbling on his grass and then she walks in her shoes on my grass, and then my bunnies are eating grass in my yard - Is it not possible that she contaminates my grass bringing poison on her shoes? It's not that he sprays every day. I saw him doing it once. I used to pick dandelions for my rabbits on his grass - won't do it anymore.

thank you Carolyn. I wonder how birds in the wild survive really bad weather (I am not talking about tornado, at least high winds, heavy rain, hail). Right now it's storming very bad and I am tempted to go out to see if any birds are using my nest at least as protection from inclement weather. C'on birds, don't be so stubborn! You are also allowed to land on my porch to sit under the roof.

We have a lot of ducks in the neighborhood that occupied people's yards to nest. One was looking for a good spot in my yard but didn't stay (thanks God) Yesterday I was driving in the neighborhood and saw mama duck and a bunch of very young ducklings climbing up the curb, I thought it was pretty dangerous -- people can run them over. I saw which yard they consider home, I just hope that people understand the situation and refrain from mowing (that is hard). I feel a little bad that ducks have to nest in people's yard. What do they feed babies, I wonder?

I found broken egg shell (bluish with brown speckles) on my front that I identified as sparrow's. I located their nest on the tree at my front. I guess I should report illegal activities - invaders breeding! LOL It's raining a lot. At least 5 other species are eating on my front lawn leftover seeds that I throw away

Found a pile of feathers under the large tree on the front, I wonder what could happen? The amount of feathers is worth a whole bird I think (possibly robin, by the color) but I don't see anything except the feathers. There is a small amount of other matter with a little bit of blood, but it looks like a whole bird got destroyed and maybe eaten there. The location is INSIDE our fenced area where bunnies have access. we closely monitor for cats and I haven't seen a cat for a long long time. Who else could destroy a bird in this manner? Because of the rabbits I know there is no any wild animals where we live. just squirrels.

Wow that makes me scared for my rabbits. Now its very hot so they spend good part of the day in garage with AC on, other than there they love to be hiding under the deck or under the bush. We have never had any issues from the air. I think they would be too heavy for hawk to grab but who knows. Poor little bird. I think most of them raise babies at this time so its sad to realize that babies possibly stayed without a parent: (
