Big day coming up!! I'm excited! I have a nightshift and normally I sleep till 3 p.m. after I get into bed next morning. But since Martin is coming with his birds I'll be up and about much sooner I think... :applaud: :applaud:

It didn't take them very long to calm down. I did expect more interaction from the get go with mine though. But they seemed to keep their distance. Only thing upsetting mine was the door being closed so they could not fly inside the area with the new cockatiels... :D

I do hope they will love the extra space. I don't know how well they fly yet.

I'm thinking 3 - 4 days before I let them mix, what do you guys think? When would you open the door that separates them?

The recommended quarantine period for new birds is 30 days or more, but you can use your own judgement. Make sure that the new birds continue to look healthy, and see how confident they feel.

Well, I'm pretty sure they're not sick or anything.
Only thing I'm worried about is the weather... these guys are used to being indoors...

I'll see what happens, but 30 days to me feels like overkill

The new tiels have accepted me! Or at least two of them have :D

Iago and Ed were lured onto my arm and hands today for some millet treats :bigsmile100:

To bad I didn't have a second pair of arms to take pictures! :dance:
