after spending the summer not feeling good myself. I have tried to work with Bebe as much as I am up to that day. he will take soft foods from my fingers but is still scare to be out of his cage 99% of the time. he thinks he is Woody Woodpecker tapping on everything in his cage. he is first class paper shredder. I have cellulitis with nonspecific dermatitis from nasty bug bite. for 3 +months I have dealt with pretty good sized rash on my leg. the final straw happened last at 3 AM, severe itching that only icing the leg stopped it and that took 2 hours. I went to urgent care. it is aggravating my asthma to add to my fun. I am on strong antibiotics, anti itch cream and another allergy med.

Bebe is finally coming out of his cage, not daily, but at least he is trying. I have to bribe him with air-popped corn no salt or butter. he has not figured out how to go back in on his own yet. but it's a baby step.

he has been locked up for so long before I got him. he is fearful of trying to leave his secure place.

Jan, I am finally on the mend. the leg looks a lot better, no rash or itching. but the wound is still extremely pink and raw looking. it's going to be a nasty scar.

we had a major breakthrough, he actually sat on my shoulder the other night. I had let him out and notice a huge hunk of dried food blocking his nostril. every breath he took he was sucking it in further and further into his nose. ok pal that has to come off. I had towel him briefly and get him into small room so I could get rid of it. once the towel was off he was on my head and I got him to step up on my hand briefly a short hop he was on my shoulder minus bites. so one more baby step taken.
