The aviator has a loop at the end of the leash, that loop MUST BE AROUND THE HANDLER'S WRIST ALL THE TIME! I am sure you know but it's easy to forget... That's why the first thing I do is to get the loop around my wrist before putting the harness on... That way I can't forget
This said, again I am so happy she had such a lucky escape... Your neighbours are amazing, some people get escaped birds and let them go, believe it or not!!!

Yeah I always have the loop on my wrist she flew so fast it slipped off thats how frightened she was I would be too if I heard a really loud unfamiliar noise.
