She is very young, she is 4 months old She love pellets. She still afraid of hands. We are getting there. 3 times I got her on my finger, the first time 10mins,2nd time 15mins,and 3rd time 25 mins. I am so proud of her.
Maybe you can give me other tips about how to train her. She fly very well.

Hooray, you're making progress! It will be a big step forward when she's confident enough to actually eat from your hand.

I was wondering why is your bird called a parakeet? It that just another name for a budgie? I've only had a budgie for a few months he was found in the wild by a river..so I gave him a home!

There are several different parakeet species, particularly Australian grass keets including budgies. A parakeet is basically a small parrot with a long tail. So 'parakeet' is a more generic word for a budgie. In the US they're mostly called parakeets rather than budgies, probably because the other parakeet species aren't common here. But they're mostly called budgies on bird forums and at bird clubs, because these people do have other parakeet species sometimes and it's good to know exactly which bird you're talking about.
P.S. The word budgie comes from budgerigar, which is a corrupted form of an Aborigine word that basically means "a very tasty bird". Eek!!
