Beaker and Jaid can laugh for almost 2 minutes straight. How in the world can they do that for so long? I asked on TC and was kind of dismissed...

It's not much the "how"... after all they can sing their horrid songs for like 20 minutes non stop... it is the "why" that's a bit puzzling. What do they have to say to each other that requires so much yapping?

edit: unless it's some kind of endurance contest

No actually, I want to know how. My dad always thinks they are going to pass out.

We humans can sing for 20 minutes nonstop too. We pause often enough to take a breath and so do the birds. Unlike us, birds can fly, and that kind of exercise requires a lot more oxygen than singing does. Birds have VERY efficient respiratory systems, that's why fumes in the air are so hazardous to them. But it also gives them a lot of lung power.

As for the why, I think sometimes they're just happy. And of course the boys have to sing their courtship songs over and over and over again, basically to ask the question "do ya think I'm sexy".

Alright then. But now every 5 minutes I have to tell B and Jaid they're sexy!? They're already vain enough! This encouragement will test my sanity.

I never said they didn't. Hair is also a fun substance to pluck from it's roots, bellybuttons are interesting places to insert your beak and freckles can't happily coexist with cockatiels.

maybe we should shave our heads and wear latex catsuits?
Hm I am sure they'd find a way even through that...

That would call for a full out attack. Hey, I don't blame them. If I ever see a bald person in a full body latex suit, I will not hesitate to tackle them.
