When I started bird keeping I had the cages so planned and organized with only toys in that color theme in it. Now after 3 years of I just just throw unmatching crap in it now. I don't care anymore. They just went through toys so fast I ran out of color themes.

When you have several birds you have your hands full just trying to keep the cage and the house clean lol. Who has time for interior design issues? It's like having permanent toddlers in the house.

I don't know why, but the least successful toys/destruction objects are the ones I plan carefully on where and when to place them... The only thing they appreciate is stuff I leave lying around, like something I took out of the toy box and forgot to hang properly

When I first started, I kept thinking, "OK, I see this cage everyday, the least it can do is look presentable." Now I see hobo birds living in a designer nightmare, but, hey, they're boys... they have no sense of style!

The birds know what we want them to do and they want to do the opposite. They're a lot like children actually.

Non-designer cage = man cave! Of course they like it.

Except when I tell them to eat their vegetables. It's about the same reaction.

hey, at least they don't leave their underpants and dirty socks on the floor... I guess that's a blessing lol

It's sad now. I walk in and their cage looks like a trash can. But what do you expect they'll like. They poop on each other and laugh. I'm so proud.
