Lol birds can be so dramatic! Haha, since we are on the topic of safety while clipping, I use a dremmel instead of clippers. I do this for several reasons, with the first being the risk of bleeding, especially on birds with dark nails. With a dremmel, even if you do go too deep you see it right away and rarely lose more than one tiny drop of blood, and it heals much faster. Also, clipping can leave sharp corners which can be nearly as uncomfortable on human skin as the original pointy nails. The dremmel dulls the point without making new points. Also, the sharp edges left by clippers can get caught in rope toys, cloth cage covers, seed guards, etc. I'm not saying don't clip, but if you are looking for an alternative to clipping, consider the dremmel

it is louder and takes a little while for the birds to get used to, but I think it is worth it.
