I wanted to get some stuff for the budgies' birddays this month. Beck is February 16th and Poppy is February 26th. So, I went to Parrot Planet to get some of those small, paper toys they love so much that I can't make.

There were a few pretty birds there.

And my personal favorite, PIERRE!

He is a sulfur crested too with perpetual heartwings. I scratched his head for almost and hour and a half. If you stop, he makes the cutest little eh? noise.

Happy early hatchday Beak and Poppy! Those birds are so cute! Why didn't you take a video of the 'eh' noise? D:

I don't know! He was just too adorable I didn't think logically. But it was so quietly spoken you probably would not have been able to hear it with the people talking in the background.

I love him so much. I at least had to get a picture of his never-ending heartwings.

They always adopt unusual birds like those. I've never seen a hyacinth macaw in real life before. Once he gets a good diet and lets his feathers grow back he will be a marvelous spectacle.

The palm cockatoo is even more unusual than the hy.

I've actually seen a palm before around here though. Never a hyacinth.

Those birds are stunning! I saw a hyacinth at the fall bird mart and man, those guys are HUGE. And so, so beautiful. If I had one, I'd save each and every feather. Heck, I save a bunch of feathers from my little guys and even my "plain" grey and yellowish white ones from Coyote. I finally figured out a use for them, I stick them in their toys because they love to preen them, so it's a win/win! I get to see their pretty feathers and they get to play.
