Yes, she's quite happy here.

she's also used to the dog (though still somewhat timid around him), which is good, because then I can have them with me at the same time. It's also bad, when they both decide to act up at the same time.

my dog tends to be a little needy sometimes, and Lucy gets a bit destructive when she's bored, you can imagine how much of a hassle it can be.
And yes, B. I do feel lucky to be with her. With how much trouble we went through in the beginning, she ended up being a lot of what I wanted in a bird. Not demanding of attention but accepting of it, vocal but not loud, playful, but also calm, and likes being out of the cage, but will wait (most of the time) if she has to. Of course, she's not perfect, but that's what makes her unique.

The only problem I really have with her is that sometimes, she doesn't want to step up when I need her to, and she'll argue with me about it. Sometimes, it's hard not to get impatient when this happens.
Indeed, that seems to be the thing with most animals, Carolyn. They always want what they can't have. I've seen this behavior with cows, as while I see them in large fields of green grass, they decide to eat near the fence, because they want the grass that's outside of the field. It's kinda funny how. It works. There are some foods that my dog only eats if he sees someone eating it. And of course, Lucy always wants to chew on things she shouldn't. Even if it's things she's never seen before. It's like she just knows she shouldn't be destroying it, so she wants to do it even more.
