Rio pulled Rocko's tail today so I put him in his cage for a timeout and I just left him in there it was nearly 6:00 pm which is his bed time so he gets longer hours of darkness I dont think its hormonal though if he never attacks Loki its always Rocko and now im back in school tomorrow so Rio is hardly ever gonna get out of cage time without him hurting Rocko because I usually bring Rio downstairs with me while the tiels are out but I like being with the tiels too.Im gonna see how he is with his new sleep schedule for the week and if hes still bad I think im gonna have to find him a new home preferably a home with other lovebirds where he will be cared for and loved.Im really trying to stop him attacking.

It does take some time for the long nights treatment to start working. With cockatiels it usually takes about a week, and it seems like nothing is happening until one day there's a sudden, dramatic change in behavior. Hopefully it will help reduce his aggression levels.

You might want to keep him away from Tiko. If he gets close, move him away immediately.

Rio's beak is damaged already and might break more easily than a normal beak. It's definitely a good idea to keep him away from Tiko. The large parrots have been known to completely rip off another bird's upper beak (usually a smaller bird but sometimes a member of the same species). Cockatoos are pretty bad about this but I don't think I've ever heard of a grey doing it. Still, it's best not to take chances. If too much of the beak gets torn off it will never grow back.

What do u mean never grow back Rio's beak as it is now will never grow back.I do keep him away from Tiko but sometimes Rio flies on her cage and if I try take him off he would run around sometimes and Tiko would try bite me.

Rio's beak is damaged but he does still have a beak and can crack seeds. There are some birds who have completely lost their upper beak due to an attack from another bird. I won't post any pictures here because it might be too graphic for some, but this link has pictures of a budgie that has lost its upper beak. http://www.birds-online.de/gesundheit/g ... uch_en.htm

It's possible that some of the aggression is simply due to the fact that he's been with you long enough to feel completely at home. A lot of birds take a few weeks to settle in and this inhibits their behavior to some extent, but once they feel completely comfortable their true personality comes out. Rio is a lovebird, and their true personality tends to be aggressive.
