Two men came to my house to buy Rio's old cage and then they asked to see Rio and Rocko was already with me at the time and I brought Rio down and they asked how much for him and the cage and I said €100 and they said thats expensive ill give you €50 and I said no thats too cheap he's a friendly tame lovebird so he's gonna cost more so then they asked how much for Rocko and the cage and I said he's not for sale and they said we will pay more and I said no and they said you can get another and of course my final answer was NO I would never give my baby away for any amounts of money no matter how many birds I get Rocko will always be my No.1 anyways back to Rio they said €50 or we leave and I said NO and you can easily see by reading this they are certainly not the right owners and obviously haven't researched both birds if they wanted to choose between them like that.So really im actually kinda glad Rio is still here and there is a woman I was talking to yesterday and her husband wants a lovebird they did have a Quaker that the woman bought for her husband but sold it yesterday because he wanted a lovebird and now they have a huge empty cage waiting to be filled with a lovebird and she is gonna show her husband Rio today and then she will call to tell me if she wants to take him.

The guys trying to get him for a low price might have been looking for a bird that they could sell to someone else for a higher price. I'm glad you didn't sell him to them! Hopefully the people who had the quaker will be good owners. Quakers are an aggressive species too, so I wonder if they couldn't handle their previous bird and that's why they sold it.

I've had people do that to me too when I was looking for a home for Mackenzie. Don't ever give to people who see it as a deal instead of a life. I'm super picky when rehoming animals. It took a while to find a home for my hermit crabs, but I'm 100% confident I made the right choice. Just wait for that right person. It's totally worth it.

Of course its worth it I wouldnt want him to go to a bad home.I really want a Plum headed parakeet but I would rather Rio get a great home first.
