Congrats! It didn't take me a while to figure it out. Actually, I didn't know it was a thing. At first, the training started because Coco didn't want to step up. So I took his food away for a whole day. Then, he was very hungry, so I held his food bowl behind my finger so he would step up, and he did. Then I did it from greater distances until I got him to actually fly towards me. But that's just me. How did you do it, Brandon?

I started off with the target stick telling him to touch and then I moved away and said touch and he flew over and touched and I gave him millet. Then I removed the stick and millet and just called him and he flew to me and I rewarded him and I did it a few times moving further away.

I'm going to guess that you're happy about this. The emoticons were my first clue. :roffle:

Not exactly hard. Just takes a while to do.

Actually, I have to get back to it with Lucy. I'm hoping to get her recall trained now. Alex shouldn't bet hat hard once he's weaned. He already flies to my head.

With fledglings it can be a problem to keep them off of your head. For me, every year there comes a stage where I can't walk into the bird room without having several chicks fly at me, and it's hard to get them off long enough for me to leave the room. I'm glad that they like me and all that, but after a while it starts to feel like I'm in a horror movie.
