I apologize for my language, but I really, REALLY messed up here. I got too comfortable, went outside with Lucy, and now she's gone. She's out there somewhere. I'm trying my best to spread the word, posting in several places.

My mom heard her last night before sundown, but I think she flew further away by now. I have her cage out in plain sight, and I'm going out there and playing cockatiel sounds. I'm doing just about everything I can.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm afraid, because her wings are clipped and she can't fly that fast.

Loki was also clipped when she flew away but could fly good I tried bringing Rocko out to make noise and he did nothing so I played sounds and left a cage out.I went out early in the morning before sunrise to look for her and she was no where to be found and that would be because she was found by someone luckily I got her back and hope u get Lucy I hope shes ok and u find her.Post it on my group my mam is fast at spreading news around the world lol.

Oh Jas, I hope you find her. That's horrible. Be sure to put lost bird alerts on Craigslist and Parrot 911. You'll be in my thoughts...

I've done both already. I've also posted to several groups in Facebook, and another forum where I know there are people in AZ.

My mom's already talking about getting another bird. At this point, I don't want to get another one. I just want Lucy back.

I told her I'm not ready, though I did catch her looking at craigslist ads. She was looking at two male cockatiels I saw when seeing if there are any found bird ads.

I heard her! I heard her scream! She might have been frightened and flew somewhere, but she's still nearby! I tried calling her a few times, though I couldn't get a response call from her.

I might go it on a walk in the evening or something. I have a big tray of food next to her cage. Hopefully she'll see it and come back down and grab a bite.

How long can birds go without food or water?

I hope you're able to find her soon! Birds in a new home will sometimes go without food or water for three days, but she's outdoors flying around and will need to replenish herself sooner than that. But lots of people put out seed for wild birds and have fountains or other water features in their yards, so she might be able to find something. Hawks are a huge risk in the Tucson area, but cockatiels are very watchful for them so hopefully she'll stay safe.
