Birds having a night fright are flying in a panic and you can't rely on them to think clearly about where they're going. I've seen panicked birds fly into a wall in broad daylight.

I know they wouldn't get hurt as bad as they would in a cage though Loki has lost feathers in her night frights and my walls are not that thick and they have flown into the walls lots of times from panicking.Either way caged or not they can get hurt so its just up to me to make everywhere as safe as possible

They can get hurt in the cage but they can't build up a lot of speed. The faster they're going when they hit something, the harder the impact will be.

Well thats what im saying they will get hurt either way so the best thing I can do is make it safe so when they fly they hit something comfy instead of a hard wall.Im now hanging another toy and putting a rope perch up

They can get less hurt if you put them in cages at night. But whatever, we are just trying to help you but at the end, it's your choice. It's just not recommend.

Yeah I know and like I said people who have bird rooms their birds dont get hurt when they have night frights because there are toys and swings everywhere that they would hit off instead.

Why bother saying sarcastic comments if you dont like it then dont come on the thread. You cant say much you had your birds living outside and let them out of the cage where they could have easily flown off clipped or not.
