Yes, and that was OK. It's nice that he cooperated with you afterward, but don't be surprised if it doesn't last.

Sweet Pea was in her little travel cage with platform perch. Bebe was in Rocky's old travel cage with perches. plus their blankets. the trip there was quiet from all three birds. I rode in with "G" and she had Missy with. Dr. Tony examined Sweet Pea first, little chub bub, 98 grams. she was not happy about the beak opening or the butt hole swab. she gave up a little blood for blood work and had cuddles with mom, while they set up for Bebe. once they were set up, Sweet Pea was back in her cage. he didn't want to come out of the cage and fought it beak and talon of course. we took the cage off of the base. Dr. Tony finally had to just grab him. his weight is better 81 grams and Dr. Tony said he is getting good flight muscles. of course Bebe is screaming bloody murder the whole time and trying to bite thru a heavy set of leather gloves. Nick was cracking up and how some birdie that small can think they are so tough. until Bebe got good chomp on Nick's wrist. blood every where. little brat. they bandage up Nick while Bebe strut around the exam table like hot stuff. they toweled him to draw blood and fecal swab. I had put the cage back together while they were in the lab. he went straight into the cage when he came back. I can do Sweet Pea's nails myself, we forgot to do Bebe's today that ok. he had had enough for the day. labs will be back Weds or Thurs. so their yearly exams are done. YAY
UPDATE::
blood work is all back, Sweet Pea blood work says she healthy as a horse. Bebe's blood work is some what better. liver and kidney values are better then 1st testing. the only goofy thing was his cholesterol was a bit high, Dr. Tony said no more nuts and a little bit flaxseed oil a couple times a week in his soft foods.
the swabs will be back the first part of next week. swabs are back, Sweet Pea all normal as are Bebe's. Whew glad that their yearly are done.

I'm glad they're doing well! When it comes to a fight, the birds have us at a disadvantage lol. They're free to fight as hard as they can, and we have to control ourselves.

I might be underestimating Vlad but I don't think he's in my weight-class... Wouldn't be a fair fight.

I was looking forward to a wrestling match though... :roll:
