I kept all the babies we've got.

I'm not sure about the number, Chipper, and the problem with these people is that they move birds around so quickly, and decide immediately who, in a stock, is worth keeping or be "ended", right now my birds could be anywhere in the country. I think all in all I put 12/14 birds in that aviary

what do breeders do with them? just breed them non stop? keeping them in the small cage, never let them out?
Didn't you have arrangements with the person who had your birds that in case she/he can't keep them, she/he would contact you first?

ON the bright side, your country is not that large. Maybe you'll meet with them again.

I wonder why Trillie and Mr Darcy didn't get sold, and this is incredible luck that you were able to get them back!
You mentioned tree other names of the tiels that you concerned about and having no room to keep.
Is it possible that you find somebody who is interested to adopt them, and then try to buy them from the breeder?

Trilly and Mr Darcy didn't get sold because, I'm pretty sure about it, they are great parents, produce strong chicks, produce beautiful chicks. Darcy must have some split that agrees with trilly and the results are not plain greys. I can be wrong of course but if you see the TC thread of trilly and Frank's babies, they really were pretty, three Pearl and one grey.
She is a born mom, maybe the others didn't have a companion or weren't giving too many babies.... There are so many possibilities, really.
