Cloudy Skies' cockatiel Coyote has come back to spend about a week in his birthplace while Cloudy Skies takes a trip out of town. I'm not keeping the budgies, just Coyote, because I'm up to my eyeballs in cockatiels and it would be a bit much. He's being a brat lol, aggressive to me and to most of the other birds, but that's OK because it's not excessive and I think bratty birds are funny. He talks a LOT (mostly saying "whatcha doing" and "whatcha doing pretty bird"), which is fun because I've never had a cockatiel that actually talked before.

He likes his little brother Goldilocks (who looks a lot like Coyote did as a juvenile) and follows him around a lot. Surprisingly he also likes Dweezil and follows him too, and Dweezil is kind of daunted by the attention. When it comes to cockatiels and sexual harassment, Dweeze is usually the one who's dealing it out not the recipient. Lately Coyote has been acting kind of obsessed with his foster daddy Vlad, who doesn't appreciate it.

Cloudy Skies says hello. She's fine but has been working more lately and doesn't have time to hang out on the forum.

Coyote is a handsome boy, isn't he? His face turned completely yellow, and I have NO idea whether he's got one pied gene or two.

I missed Coyote and Cloudy. Nice to see they're alright. I've gotten pretty busy too. :D

He is very handsome and I am glad that Cloudy Skies is doing OK. I hope she will be back one day.

does he like any hens at all? :)
I am afraid he can be frustrated when it's time to leave

He doesn't seem particularly interested in any of MY hens lol, but he might still be trying to figure out the difference between the boys and the girls. He'll probably be happy to go back home, although he does seem to be enjoying himself here.

Didn't Cloudy say once that she was considering adding another cockatiel to the family (a girl cockatiel)?

Yes, but if it happens it will be sometime in the future. Not this year. Coyote's visit to my house shows that if they do get another cockatiel they'll need to be careful about the introduction, because he's fairly aggressive. Not to the point of hurting the other birds or anything like that, but it's not good to start a relationship with a fight.

Wow, Coyote seems to have matured nicely. I love his coloring!

Though the coloring is weird because his head looks like that of a bird that's split pied, then the flight feathers are yellow. Pied is such a weird mutation.

What I find most interesting is how on his left foot, he has one black toenail. I can't see the two back nails on that foot in the second picture though. Are those two back nails both white?

I find it funny that of all birds to be attracted to, it's the one that's almost twice his size and a different species.
I wonder if he's gonna teach any of your males to talk. :D You'll possibly end up hearing at least two or three of them saying "whatcha doin?" shortly after he leaves.

Good to know Cloudy Skies is doing alright. Tell her I said hello when you see her again please. :)
