My favourites are cockatiels (if they count). It's the only species I have any experience with...

I have 13 cockatiels and a princess parrot. I'll let you guess what my favorite species is... They have sweet personalities and are easy to take care of.

Are these out of the species you guys own or just in general? Because I meant overall!

My favourite species I currently own is a toss up between the red fronted kakarikis and Alexandrine parakeets. Red fronts are probably the funniest, most out-going and energetic birds out there and they forage with their feet like chickens. They're quiet and have hilarious voices. They have gorgeous eyes too! Alexandrines look like cartoon birds and they have wonderful, gentle personalities. They have cute voices and are awesome companion parrots

In general, my favourite species is probably the red tailed black cockatoo. Those things look like raptors and there is something about their huge shovel beaks that is so kissable :loveshower100:

With me, the species I own are the species I like. There are a lot of great birds out there and I love to see them and handle them, but I wouldn't want to own most of them because they're more complicated to take care of and generally harder to live with. I can afford the bigger birds but I choose not to buy them.

For me it would have to be the galah cockatoo.

Not only are they beautiful, but they're also considered one of the most playful cockatoo species there is. Heck, even in the wild you can see them tumble about.

They're also apparently one of the softest birds too. I have pet a few before, and I can confirm that their feathers are VERY soft. :)

The Hyacinth Macaw is also another favorite of mine, because they're beautiful, and in my opinion, just have some of the most endearing faces. :D

I wish I could say the same haha  It's only the financial side of things at the moment that stops me. My hope is to save in a few years time for a pair of macaws. They'd most likely have an outdoor enclosure but my intention is to free fly. I've got macaws tattooed all over my left arm, I'm a bit obsessed. So far I've got a scarlet, a blue and gold, a military and a Lear's. All watercolour :D I have worked with macaws and cared for mini macaws, I just think there's something about them. If I could afford them now I would have them in a heart beat but I'd rather spend the money on improving the lives of the animals I have at the moment
