Hi everyone,
just an update of how my budgies are going.
Pickle is still as energetic as before and loves to keep away from the other 3 budgies. I finally got her to step up onto my finger! with the help of millet spray. I got her to walk up and down my arm tempting her with the treat.
Tigerlily has started to recover from her scaly mites around her beak and cere, I still got to do her feet but its scary. I hold her gently but firmly as she squawks away angrily at me. I have barely heard she cheap except when I hold her.
They are both about 8 & a half months old and live with 2 other girl budgies that are the same age.
Hope you enjoyed the update. :bigsmile100:

Millet spray is a wonderful way to make friends with a bird!

I'm glad that the scaly mites are getting better, but dealing with them is not fun for anyone, especially the bird. When this is over, you can use lots of millet spray with Tigerlily to help her forgive you.

:applaud:

My wife won't let me have birds inside the house... doghairs are enough already...
And I don't take the time to go sit in the aviary every day for bonding purposes...

Waldorf (a cockatiel) did come and sit on my head yesterday while I was tidying up the place... I have to make do with that I guess...

Would love for the birds to come sit on my fingers/arms, but they screech and fly away if my hand gets in to close. Serves me right for capturing them now and again with a net for inspection (or selling them off, but in that case I don't have to worry about them sitting on me after :raspberry: )

tielfan I think she has already forgiven me, she runs across the perches to get to the millet spray I hold for them.
Bjornlefevre Did you check for poop after :rotflmao100: You catch them with a net :yikes: Catch them with your hands at night when its dark, thats what I do. :D
