I am going to a huge bird fair the first week in April. Hope to find a tiel friendly, tame tiel there.

Good luck finding a lovely tiel! There are always lots of handfed tiels at the bird fairs here. Not all of them will be babies that are already tame from being handled a lot, but there may be some of them there - that's the kind of chicks that I sell!

Cockatiels can breed year round but spring is the most popular time for chicks to be born. The spring babies don't really start hitting the market until about June, so spring bird marts tend to have a smaller selection than bird marts later in the year. But they always have some birds, and all you need is to find one that you like!
