So, I rehomed Rattie and Noah today. I didn't feel like they were getting enough simulation and company, so I rehomed them to a very nice woman in Sacramento. She was incredibly nice and very equipped. I could tell she loves hermit crabs. I've seen her tank and her current clan. She has 4 others and they were all adopted by her. She drove an hour to get mine. I didn't know she had to come an hour to our meeting place, but then I knew she was serious about adopting them when she came. I do not regret my decision at all and I know Rattie and Noah will be happier with her. She was very nice, she gave me a hug and we slipped her husband $10 for driving an hour to us. I charged no adoption fee because I trusted she would take good care of them.

It's hard to give up a pet, but brave to do what's best for them.

I agree. I've never seen a hermit crab.

I think she walked away with a better deal, 2 new free hermit crabs and $10 bucks.
But really, I regret nothing. Maybe if she was a mean, old hag I might but she was very nice and I could tell that she oozed passion for crabs. I went through a heavy Q&A with her on my crab forum and she met up to my standards. I was surprisingly comfortable with the whole thing. I know I did the right thing and I can say that with confidence for once.

It's so hard to make that decision. I'm glad it went well for you.
